Auto Save Interview Exploit
In many interviews you can get up, walk out of a house or building, and cause the game to Auto Save.  Return to the interview and begin it -- if you make bad choices, just go back to your console's home screen or reset the game.  You should be returned to your Auto Save before the interview.

Warp to Street Crimes
Accept a Street Crime radio message and set a custom marker near the street crime. Get out and get your partner to drive. When you arrive,  drive the last block or two yourself to activate the mission.

Chase Scene Tips
Here are some tips for chase scenes.

  • When chasing a suspect on foot or in a vehicle, hold the Camera Focus button (B on Xbox 360, CIRCLE on PS3) to keep an eye on your prey.  This makes chase scenes much easier.
  • When you get near a suspect on foot, you can press the Tackle button repeatedly (A on Xbox 360, X on PlayStation 3) to tackle the suspect.
  • In a car chase, pull up alongside a driver to have your partner fire at him.  If he shoots a tire, the car will slow down, emitting sparks from one wheel.  A faster way to take out a driver, however, is to slam into a rear wheel, spinning the car out of control.  T-boning a suspect at an intersection is another good way to take him out.

Booze Bottles Are Not Clues
Don't waste your time on things like cigarette butts, booze bottles and other things -- they are solely meant to throw you off as you investigate a crime scene.  Usually a bit of dialogue will tell you that the object you've picked up isn't related to the case.

Crime Busting Ambulance
While driving in a police car (your own) you will hear radio chatter and updates on Street Crimes (side quests), but if you hop into a civilian car you won't have a radio.  Ambulances, however, come equipped with a radio, so you will continue to get the calls.  To the crime-bulance!

A Face in the Toast
On the Black Caesar case, check out the toast in the kitchen of the junkies.  There's a face in both slices -- it's upside-down with a goatee and a fedora... But who is it?
